The MPA will not be responsible for VAT/Customs duty on packages with a declared value.
Please make sure you pack all your images properly and print all information clearly on your Entry forms.

1. Entry to the Master Photography Awards is open to all qualified members. (*except certain categories open to others). There is no limit to the number of entries from each member. Images previously entered for MPA national awards are not permitted.
2. Send entries directly to MPA Head Office by the 30th July 2010. Each entry must be between 10 x 8" and 10 x 12" in size (recommended sizes: 10 x 8, A4, US Letter, 12 x 8, 10 x10) and may be borderless or with white or black borders. Digital vignette, mask, or frame effects count as part of the image. The entry must be unmounted, without lamination, encapsulation, or spray/brush coatings. Tinted, metallic, pearl, and art papers are accepted. The actual image must have one dimension which measures at least 8". All entries must be accompanied by one high resolution (300dpi suitable for 20 x 16) and one low resolution (72dpi for screen, maximum image height 1080 pixels) file. You may use one CD to submit files for all your entries, the filename must match a reference number on your print. The cost of each entry is £8.50 (inc. VAT). The entry fee must be included with the print and cheques should be made payable to MPA.
3. All entries will be retained by MPA until the end of the year, after which they may be recycled or held for possible use in the MPA publication or literature. Winning images will be retained indefinitely for exhibition purposes. No prints will be returned.
4. All prints must have the official Print Entry Form to the reverse of the print. These are available as a download from the MPA website. Photocopied entry forms are acceptable.
5. All category winners will be announced on the evening of the Annual Awards. Prior notification of finalists will no longer be made.
6. Images produced on workshops/seminars by delegates are not permitted. In the wedding and portrait categories the image must be from an actual commissioned wedding or portrait and all entries must have been captured/created between 1st August 2009 and July 2010.
7. Any image which has already won a UK National Award from any other professional photographic organisation is not permitted.
8. Members may enter the same image in up to three categories, but must supply a separate print for each category. the judges may, if agreeing unanimously, transfer any image into a more appropriate category.
9. All entries must consist of a single image or composition.
10. By entering the print competition, the member acknowledges that employer, client and/or subject have copyright release or model release giving permission for the image to be published or exhibited in connection with these awards and that he/she is the author of the work as defined in the Design, Copyright and Patents Act 1988.
11. The MPA reserves the right to remove from the competition any images submitted which, in its opinion, contravene legal guidelines on public decency or any which would bring the MPA into disrepute.
12. Any entries which do not conform to the above will be removed and no payments returned.
13. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. All Consumer Awards, including Cherubs, are judged separately and different entry rules apply.
15. The MPA exercise care in handling entries but accepts no responsibility for loss/damage however caused.
16. The Closing Date for the competition is: Friday 30th July 2010.
