All images will be judged on the basis of unmounted prints in the 10 x 8 to 10 x 12 inch size range. There are no longer any special rules about the minimum image area on the print, instead the judges will use their own discretion to score the entry – letterbox or postage stamp images floating on empty ‘mount’ space will have to fight it out against full bleeds.
2010 Yervant Bridal Award Greg Daly
The unmounted entry prints can be on any flexible base including art papers and photo papers. Lamination is allowed.
Before sending the prints in, you must log in to the Master Photography Awards website and submit a high resolution digital file for every entry. At this point you will be given a unique entry reference number which must go on the back of the print, and you will pay the £5 entry fee (the total added up paid at the end of each session by Paypal, including the use of credit cards). The judges may ask to view your digital file.
The digital file should have an embedded ICC profile (sRGB or AdobeRGB preferred) and although it is not an entry requirement, it’s recommended that you put your copyright and contact details, caption and any other relevant information in the metadata. Your digital file may be used for display printing, MPA exhibition stands, Awards Book and magazine publication, and release to other media for publicity in connection with the Awards.
The print you enter should have been made from the same digital file you submit.
